Are You Dressed for the Holidays?
It’s that time of year.
People are beginning to plan their holiday/winter containers.
I want to encourage you to not forget about your door.
After all, with the exception of Santa, it’s how most people enter your home. A wreath, or a beautiful door topper such as this, is a wonderful way to welcome friends and family while also continuing whatever theme you are doing in your pots.
A nutcracker theme could incorporate little drums into your wreath.
And please, please, please despite what the Boy Scouts seem to think, an outdoor wreath does not need a plastic ribbon.
(Of course, you should still support the Boy Scouts and buy your wreath from them but take the bow off).
If you are concerned about whether your ribbon is waterproof simply wet it and squeeze it with a white paper towel. If no color comes off you are good to go. We have used silk, taffeta and velvet in our wreaths and have never had a problem. A beautiful bow made from glorious ribbon is just another opportunity to make your wreath stand out from the rest.
And if all the decorating, shopping, cleaning, cooking, and wrapping leaves you little time to fuss with a wreath we’d be happy to help. Just give The Captured Garden a call.
